1. Where is Cobb Beauty College?
Our address is 3096 Cherokee Street, Kennesaw, GA 30144. We are located 1.9 miles off Interstate 75, Exit 273 (Wade Green), toward downtown Kennesaw.
2. Is it a private school/facility?
Yes, this is a private school. Not just anyone can attend. We only accept students that are motivated, willing to learn, and strive to be excellent.
3. Do you have to have a High School Diploma?
Yes and no. A high school diploma is required to qualify for financial aid and to take the State Board Exam. However, if you are working toward your GED or high school diploma, you may attend CBC on a cash-pay basis.
4. How old you have to be?
16 years old, but you have to have a high school or GED to qualify for financial aid and to take the State Board Exam you are required to be 17 years old.
5. How long are the programs?
Full time is 10-14 months depending on how diligent you are with completing 1500 hours. 1500 hours equals 12 months attending school four (4) days per week. The course can be completed in 9-10 months by attending 5 days a week, 71/2 hours a day.
6. What are the class hours? And, is the schedule flexible?
The class hours are somewhat flexible. You can choose to take day classes or night class (will begin again soon), or a combination of both day and night classes. The schedule chosen is the schedule a student should continue to take until graduation.
7. What is the State Board pass rate?
All students that graduate from CBC take the State Board Exam. We have a 100% State Board pass rate.
8. How much does it cost?
Our Master Cosmetology Program is $19,429, which includes kits, books, and supplies.
9. What are the methods of payments?
We have several payment plans to fit your needs. We also accept Pell Grants coupled with student loans.
10. Is there financial aid available?
Yes, to those who qualify. In order to find out how much financial aid you qualify for, you will need to complete a FAFSA (the link is on the website). Enter the school code, (030906) when prompted.
